Position Overview:

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to be part of the Operations Test Engineering Group. This role focuses on the design and implementation of test beds and automation systems. The engineer will collaborate with the test systems engineering team to ensure compliance with product specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to product development, ideally within a military application context.
  • Engage in manufacturing processes and the development of manufacturing tests.
  • Possess a solid understanding of engineering architecture and design principles, alongside the practices necessary for developing, testing, and deploying test systems.
  • Exhibit strong presentation and communication abilities in various formats.
  • Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and the capacity to meet critical deadlines.
  • Show proven experience in planning and coordinating projects efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team, contributing ideas and efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 4 years of related experience. Alternatively, 10 years of relevant experience may substitute for a degree.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in product development, particularly in military applications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing and test development processes.
  • Strong grasp of engineering design concepts and practices.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
  • Proficient problem-solving capabilities and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in project planning and coordination.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within a team environment.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite and Microsoft Project.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills to foster team collaboration.
  • Leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance, if necessary.
