Position Summary:

This role requires a highly skilled individual with extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of various equipment within their designated areas. A thorough understanding of relevant regulations and standards is essential. The primary focus is to oversee staff, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of lifts, with a strong emphasis on proficiency, workplace safety, and leadership in all aspects of lift maintenance. It is crucial to keep the lift department Director informed about any unusual conditions or incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily maintenance operations of lifts, including overseeing construction activities for chairlift equipment valued between $5-10 million.
  • Ensure safe and reliable maintenance operations while delivering quality service to guests.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies.
  • Assist the Director in monitoring operating and capital expenses, ensuring proper budget allocation.
  • Oversee staff conduct, training, and adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and development of all lift electrical maintenance personnel.
  • Implement summer and winter preventive maintenance programs to enhance lift safety and reliability.
  • Organize and direct the activities of the electrical maintenance team to ensure timely and complete work execution.
  • Manage the maintenance of all tools, equipment, and vehicles.
  • Promptly inform the Director of any abnormal conditions, incidents, or system failures.
  • Ensure all required records are maintained and updated, including operational logs and maintenance documentation.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of management experience in lift maintenance and operations or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Valid Colorado Driver's License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; PLC programming experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Strong understanding of lift maintenance, operations, and management principles.
  • Familiarity with regulations governing maintenance and ski operations.
  • Intermediate skiing or riding skills are advantageous.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $74,000 - $118,830, plus an annual bonus. Compensation decisions are based on various factors.
