Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst Role

At Beacon Hill, we are seeking a skilled Budget and Financial Reporting Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining knowledge of financial and budgeting policies, procedures, and practices. This includes month-end and year-end close processes, as well as working with program staff to create, modify, and monitor revenue and expense budgets. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to staff and management effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain knowledge of financial and budgeting policies, procedures, and practices.
• Work with program staff to create, modify, and monitor revenue and expense budgets.
• Support domestic and international projects with multiple donors by tracking and managing financial reporting and donor spending compliance.
• Lead the budget renewal process and ensure timely submission and uploading of all budget templates into PeopleSoft modules.
• Analyze budget variances, highlight areas of concern, and propose solutions to address financial discrepancies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 4 years of accounting/finance experience.
• Expertise in MS Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and data importing/exporting.
• Experience with grant, contract, project, or donor cost accounting is a plus.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (PeopleSoft Financials preferred) and experience with Tableau reports is desirable.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and customer service skills, with a focus on business process improvement.
• Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data to staff and management effectively.
