About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Manager to join our team at ASM Global. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and maintenance throughout our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct and supervise a team of housekeeping staff to ensure the efficient and effective completion of cleaning and maintenance tasks.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to meet the needs of our events and guests.
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Interpret company policies and safety regulations to housekeeping staff.
  • Maintain equipment in good working order and follow safety procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of chemicals by housekeeping staff.
  • Enforce employee dress code and grooming standards.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Perform activities of workers supervised as needed.
  • Perform monthly inventory audit of housekeeping equipment and supplies.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • Manage all employees in the Housekeeping Department.
  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global's policies and applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Appraise performance.
  • Reward and discipline employees in conjunction with Human Resources.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
Working Conditions:

Ability to work long and irregular hours, including day, evening, weekends, and holidays. Ability to work flexible schedule.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1-2 years of custodial or housekeeping experience required.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Good organization skills.
  • Good oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with little supervision.
  • Ability to work irregular hours, shifts that include nights, graveyard shift, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Computer skills.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to stand, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work in both indoor and outdoor settings and may be subjected to adverse conditions.
