- Develop and Implement Intervention Plans: Collaborate with families to create and implement Individual Family Service Plans (IFSPs), setting goals, objectives, and strategies to support children's growth and development.
- Document Progress and Communicate Effectively: Maintain accurate records of progress, assessments, and correspondence, ensuring seamless communication with families, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Provide Individual and Group Intervention: Offer targeted interventions for infants and toddlers with developmental delays or at risk of delays, focusing on cognitive, adaptive behavior, social-emotional, self-care, fine motor, gross motor, and communication development.
- Assess Family and Child Strengths and Needs: Identify and build on family and child strengths, addressing concerns and progress in a supportive and non-judgmental manner.
- Coordinate Services and Ensure Timely Delivery: Act as a service coordinator, scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating intervention plans for each family on your caseload, ensuring timely and effective service delivery.
- Provide Supportive Professional Assistance: Offer guidance and support to families, empowering them to act as advocates for their child's needs and development.
- Master's Degree in Social Work: A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required, as is certification or licensure as a Social Worker (LCSW, LICSW, LMHC).
- Experience with Infants, Toddlers, and Families: While not essential, experience working with infants, toddlers, and families is highly valued.
- Knowledge of Family Systems and Early Childhood Development: A strong understanding of family systems and early childhood development is crucial for success in this role.
- Ability to Engage in Meaningful Relationships: The ability to form and maintain meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners is essential.
- Commitment to Culturally Humble Services: A commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services that prioritize family priorities, needs, culture, and values is expected.
- Excellent Communication and Organizational Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, as well as organizational skills, are necessary for success in this role.
- Confidentiality and Professional Boundaries: The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries is essential.
- Computer Skills and Documentation: Good computer skills and strong documentation skills are required.
- Current Driver's License and Reliable Transportation: A current driver's license and reliable transportation are necessary for this role.
- Bilingual/Bicultural a Plus: While not required, bilingual/bicultural skills are highly valued.
