The Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist in Early Intervention collaborates with children from birth to 3 years old and their families in various settings, including homes and community facilities like daycare centers. The Specialist conducts evaluations, formulates treatment strategies, and delivers direct services to the children and their families. They partner with families to develop an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) tailored to the family's concerns and aspirations for their child, and work innovatively to assist the child in achieving those objectives.
Your expertise, insights, and exceptional skills will enhance the Early Intervention program through the following:
- Delivering in-home and community-based services to children and families.
- Maintaining thorough documentation of interactions with children and families, including well-crafted reports of developmental evaluations and records of all services rendered.
- Providing engaging, play-based interventions with children in their natural environments, such as on the floor, in playgrounds, and other recreational spaces.
- Conducting discipline-specific evaluations of each child's developmental progress.
- Assessing individual children's requirements for additional resources and preparing necessary documentation for insurance purposes to secure equipment for the child.
- Collaborating with other Early Intervention team members to perform comprehensive Developmental Assessments, such as the Battelle Developmental Inventory.

What qualifications are we seeking in a Pediatric Rehabilitation Specialist?
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy is required.
- Licensed Physical Therapist in Massachusetts.
- Valid Driver's License, a safe driving history, and a vehicle available for work-related duties.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities.
