Position Title: Fleet Maintenance Technician

Role Summary:
The Fleet Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing scheduled and preventive maintenance on fleet vehicles, production machinery, and specialized equipment. This role includes diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and maintaining accurate service records.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Diagnose and repair fleet vehicle chassis and specialized systems including tanks, pumps, and spray mechanisms.
2. Conduct repairs on tractors, forklifts, small engines, and other specialized equipment such as aerators and spreaders.
3. Maintain precise documentation of all repairs using an electronic maintenance management system.
4. Ensure parts inventory and workspaces are kept organized and clean.
5. Coordinate and document outsourced maintenance services performed by external vendors.
6. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
7. Manage and prepare the maintenance budget.
8. Respond to breakdowns of vehicles and equipment in the field as necessary.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required, along with 1-4 years of automotive mechanic experience or a comparable combination of education and experience.

Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Capable of reading and interpreting safety regulations, operating instructions, and maintenance manuals.
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations involving discounts, interest, and proportions.
- Attention to detail and effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position require:
- Regularly sitting, standing, and walking.
- Using hands and arms for handling and reaching.
- Speaking and hearing capabilities.
- Close vision abilities for detailed work.

Occasional Requirements:
- Lifting or moving items up to 50 lbs.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling as needed.

Work Environment:
The characteristics of the work environment include:
- Noise levels ranging from low to moderate.
- Minimal adverse conditions.
