About the Role

The Service Development Engineering Specialist is a key member of the Global Capital Equipment Technical Services team at Boston Scientific, responsible for supporting the transformation of systems, processes, and customer experience around the commercialization and servicing of Capital Equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain Service functionality in SAP and/or Windchill, ensuring accurate and efficient data management.
  • Collect and analyze product service data with the Service Development Engineering team to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement service process improvements and transformation initiatives.
  • Partner with IT, product, and process teams to deliver identified opportunities.
  • Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical documentation.
  • Provide technical expertise and training on newly developed service processes.
  • Ensure compliance with quality requirements and maintain a quality-focused mindset.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a technical or engineering environment.
  • Strong technical background with the ability to structure Manufacturing/Service BOMs in SAP and Windchill.
  • Proven track record of creating documentation and driving process improvements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in project management software and tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong technical background with the ability to structure Service BOMs in SAP and Windchill.
  • Formal training in Six Sigma, LEAN, and Project Management is an advantage.
  • Technical Service experience supporting Capital Equipment in the Medical Device industry.
