About the Role:
The Service Development Engineering Specialist is responsible for supporting the Global Capital Equipment Technical Services (CETS) team at Boston Scientific with a unique opportunity to be directly part of a transformation initiative that will redefine the systems, process and customer experience around the commercialization and servicing of Capital Equipment.
The Service Development Engineering Specialist will provide project management support and leadership by collaborating closely with the Service Development Engineering (SDE) team to provide technical input and knowledge that enable transformation opportunities and enhance service processes. The candidate must have a desire to utilize their skills to solve technical/complex problems in a hands-on manner, working in a fast-paced environment, and across multiple functions in a global company.
Your Responsibilities will Include:
Develop processes to maintain Service functionality in SAP and/or Windchill, ensuring accurate and efficient data management (i.e. Service BOM, Service Order Templates and service product attributes)Actively collect and analyze product service data with the Service Development Engineering teamCollaborate with the SDE team to identify, create and implement service process improvements and transformation opportunitiesPartner with cross-functional teams, including Service Development Engineering, IT, product, and process teams on the delivery of the identified opportunitiesFacilitate effective communication and collaborationDevelop and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and technical documentationProvide technical expertise and training on newly developed service processesFully support the Quality Policy by building quality into all aspects of the incumbent's work and by maintaining compliance to all quality requirementsRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalentMinimum of 3 years of experience within a technical or engineering environmentStrong technical background with the ability to structure Manufacturing/Service BOMs in SAP and WindchillProven track record of creating documentation and driving process improvements.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Proficient in project management software and toolsPreferred Qualifications:
Strong technical background with the ability to structure Service BOMs in SAP and WindchillFormal training in Six Sigma, LEAN and Project Management is an advantage.Technical Service experience supporting Capital Equipment in the Medical Device industry.Requisition ID:587827
