Job Summary

The Texas A&M University System is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Community Work Study Program Coordinator. This role provides an excellent opportunity for students to gain valuable work experience while contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate daily office support activities and administrative interactions to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist in the coordination of daily workflow and the resolution of complex, highly sensitive, and confidential matters.
  • Provide organizational planning and problem-solving skills to drive process improvements and administrative changes.
  • Research and analyze administrative requirements for specific programs or projects to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Provide technical information regarding administrative procedures, services, or programs to volunteers, work studies, and interns.
  • Maintain a variety of fiscal, administrative, and academic records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate the maintenance of files, records, office supplies, or equipment to ensure a well-organized and efficient work environment.
  • Assist with creating posts for social media accounts to enhance our online presence.
  • Make recommendations for process improvements, administrative changes, or new initiatives to drive growth and success.
  • Answer phone calls from clients and other business owners and professionals, assessing their needs and directing them appropriately.
  • Coordinate meetings, seminars, and other special events alongside the Operations Manager to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Assist with maintaining donor and not-for-profit organization contact information to foster strong relationships.
Requirements
  • Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 3 credit hours per semester for graduate students.
  • Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
  • Must have a current and complete file with the Office of Financial Aid.
  • Must demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA application annually.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, or permanent residence, or have an alien registration number or be an eligible non-citizen.
  • Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
Preferred Requirements
  • Undergraduate majoring in Marketing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Proficiency in the use of personal computer workstations with common software applications.
  • Ability to organize and multitask functions to ensure compliance with deadlines.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
  • Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to learn and use multiple software programs.

Other Requirements
  • Work schedules are created by the department based on departmental needs but ensure it does not conflict with class schedule.
  • Promptly complete all required training.
  • Input hours worked daily and submit time sheet biweekly.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required.
Pay Rate

$10.00 per hour for up to 15 hours
