Job Summary:
The Texas A&M University System is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented student to fill the Federal College Work Study Student Assistant position. As a student assistant, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while pursuing your academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the department of Athletics' staff.
- Perform general office duties, including answering phones, filing, scheduling, and organizing.
- Assist with day-to-day maintenance and responsibilities of the assigned department.
- Handle routine office inquiries from employees and students.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with Gameday operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Enrolled at least half-time, 6 credit hours per semester for undergraduate and 3 credit hours per semester for graduate students.
- Maintain a TAMIU overall GPA of 2.0 for undergraduate students and 3.0 for graduate students.
- Must have a current and complete file with the Office of Financial Aid.
- Must demonstrate financial need by submitting a FAFSA application annually.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, or permanent resident, or have an alien registration eligible non-citizen.
- Must meet all other requirements as stated in TAMIU's Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy (SAPP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in use of personal computer workstation with common software applications.
- Ability to organize and multitask functions to ensure compliance with deadlines.
- Outstanding customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship and communication skills.
- Problem analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn and use multiple software programs.

- Position requires on-campus, face-to-face interactions.

- Promptly complete all required training.
- Input hours worked daily and submit time sheet biweekly.

Compensation:
$8.00/hour for up to 19 hours
