We are seeking a full-time Civil Litigation Paralegal to support our attorneys in managing a range of civil litigation matters.

The Civil Litigation Paralegal plays a crucial role in assisting attorneys with various tasks related to employment, contract disputes, personal injury claims, landlord/tenant issues, and other civil litigation processes. Responsibilities include:

  • Document Review: Proofreading and cite-checking legal documents for accuracy and clarity.
  • Filing: Managing the mailing, filing, and electronic submission of legal documents across different court jurisdictions.
  • Client Interaction: Conducting potential client intakes and coordinating consultations with attorneys.
  • Communication: Engaging with clients professionally and discreetly.
  • Legal Research: Assisting attorneys with research and drafting legal documents.
  • File Management: Organizing and maintaining both electronic and physical client files.
  • Preparation: Creating exhibits for hearings and trials, and preparing responsive documents for discovery.
  • Administrative Support: Performing various administrative and legal duties as required.

The ideal candidate should possess strong critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously. A self-motivated individual who can work independently and creatively solve problems will thrive in this role. Excellent writing and editing capabilities are essential, along with a foundational understanding of the local judicial system.

This position requires in-office work, with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week. Candidates are expected to commit for a minimum of 1-2 years, with preference given to those willing to extend their tenure.
