Candidate Profile

As a Construction Manager for TotalEnergies Renewables USA, LLC, you will oversee the construction phase of solar and storage projects.

The Construction Manager is tasked with mobilizing resources and ensuring the successful execution of projects while adhering to quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with project specifications, technical requirements, quality standards, and project timelines.

Key Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience of 6 years in a related role.
  • Minimum of six years in construction or project management, with at least three years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Familiarity with renewable energy projects is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record required.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice and work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without accommodation.
  • Candidates should reside or be willing to relocate within a reasonable distance of the project site.

Responsibilities:

Key duties include:
  • Ensuring safe, environmentally compliant, and timely project execution.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment for all project personnel.
  • Managing site documentation effectively.
  • Keeping accurate records of project data, including completed work and performance metrics.
  • Coordinating maintenance and repair work with third-party providers.
  • Conducting routine maintenance tasks, including quality inspections and performance evaluations.
  • Assisting in project planning, including scope writing and scheduling.
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and collaborating with support teams to implement solutions.
  • Analyzing site performance and working to meet key performance indicators.
  • Collaborating with technical support on equipment failure analysis.
  • Managing project budgets and ensuring profitability.
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory guidelines and standards.
  • Overseeing site inventory management.
  • Working with operations support on plant performance issues.
  • Training and mentoring junior staff members.
  • Developing and maintaining emergency response plans.
  • Directing staff and contractors to achieve business objectives.
  • Providing technical input on contract documents.
  • Leading contractor meetings and ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
  • Reviewing contractor schedules and payment applications.
  • Ensuring environmental compliance on-site.
  • Building effective relationships with community stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the administration of project leases and easements.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
