Regional Medical Director

AmeriVet Services LLC is seeking a highly skilled Regional Medical Director to support our West Coast Market. This key leadership role is responsible for aligning our strategic plan and objectives with veterinary practice excellence within the assigned region.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Alignment: Establish and promote common medical goals across clinics/hospitals, ensuring alignment with AmeriVet's strategic plan and objectives.
- Productivity Initiatives: Design and execute strategies to enhance DVM productivity, with focus on maximizing operational efficiency without compromising quality patient care.
- Visit Volume Growth: Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams to implement innovative programs to grow patient visit numbers.
- Quality of Care: Continued improvement of the quality of veterinary care provided to patients across all clinics/hospitals, ensuring that patient welfare is at the forefront of all initiatives.
- Procurement and Labor Model: Assist with procurement processes, balancing operational efficiency and cost reduction with the availability of high-quality medicines, and collaborate with the Operations Team to develop a labor model that supports quality patient care, medical outcomes, team optimization, customer experience, and scalability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with veterinary professionals within the clinics to ensure support and personal commitment to organizational initiatives, establish a culture of mutual respect and shared purpose, and foster engagement and commitment among veterinarians and support staff.
- Financial Management and Reporting: Oversee the financial aspects of medical operations, ensuring profitability while maintaining the highest standards of veterinary care, and support Operations in maintaining financial performance by enforcing adherence to fee schedules, prepared treatment plans, and hospital charges.
- Compliance and Ethics: Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing veterinary medicine and animal care across the region, promote and uphold veterinary ethical standards, and maintain the integrity and reputation of the organization.
- Education: Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree required.
- Experience: Minimum 7 years of experience as a practicing Veterinarian, with preferred 3+ years of experience directing a veterinary team and previous experience with multisite clinic responsibility, preferably with a veterinarian practice consolidator.
