Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the training, organization, supervision, evaluation, and accountability of Veterinarians (DVMs) across multiple clinics.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Marketing teams to implement innovative programs to grow patient visit numbers.
  • Continuously improve the quality of veterinary care provided to patients across all clinics/hospitals, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
  • Assist with procurement processes, balancing operational efficiency and cost reduction with the availability of high-quality medicines.
  • Develop a labor model that supports quality patient care, medical outcomes, team optimization, customer experience, and scalability to flex with changes in demand, staff vacancies, etc.
  • Collaborate with the People & Culture to provide guidance and support for hiring, onboarding, mentoring, professional growth, teamwork, and open dialogue.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing veterinary medicine and animal care across the region.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree required.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a practicing Veterinarian.
  • Preferred 3+ years of experience directing a veterinary team.
  • Previous experience with multisite clinic responsibility, preferably with a veterinarian practice consolidator.
  • Previous experience with presenting continuing education, professional organization leadership, boards, and other professional leadership roles preferred.
