Job Summary:

Criminal Investigators are responsible for conducting thorough investigations and gathering evidence to support the Board's decision-making process. As a key member of the GeorgiaGov team, you will be responsible for interviewing and investigating individuals, including life-sentenced inmates, restoration of rights applicants, and parolees requesting commutation of their sentences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough investigations and gather evidence to support the Board's decision-making process
• Interview and investigate individuals, including life-sentenced inmates, restoration of rights applicants, and parolees requesting commutation of their sentences
• Complete investigative reports and present findings to the Board
• Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
• Two years of experience in a related field or four years of experience in law enforcement or a related field
• One year of experience required at the lower level Criminal Investigator 2 (PSP091) or position equivalent
• P.O.S.T. certification
