Responsibilities

As an Installer II, your primary duties will include interpreting and executing installation specifications for various construction initiatives. You are dedicated to excellence and ready to tackle challenges head-on.

Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Assessing floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power systems, and cabling for central office equipment.
  • Identifying and ordering necessary components for establishing low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and grounding provisions.
  • Developing precise installation specifications and accurate equipment requirements to meet customer orders.
  • Creating or updating location records, drawings, bills of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect changes due to installation or engineering activities.
  • Reviewing installation specifications for accuracy and compliance.

  • You are open to training and coaching.
  • You can learn and adhere to customer specifications and standards.
  • You have strong communication skills, capable of articulating ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • You can manage your time effectively while working on customer sites.
  • You demonstrate reliability by following instructions and fulfilling commitments.
  • You have experience using power tools.
  • You can lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
  • You are willing to travel away from home for extended periods (up to 75%).
  • You will primarily work in a central office environment, which is essential for telecommunications operations.
