Responsibilities

As an Installer II, your primary responsibility will be to accurately read and interpret installation specifications for various construction projects. You are committed to excellence and take pride in completing tasks to the highest standards.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Assessing floor plan layouts, power distribution, backup power supplies, and cabling for central office equipment.
  • Identifying and requisitioning necessary components for establishing low- and high-level racking, transmission racking, power racking, aisle lighting, and grounding provisions.
  • Developing comprehensive and precise installation specifications along with accurate equipment requirements to meet customer orders.
  • Creating or amending location records, drawings, bills of materials (BOM), installation notes, and memos to reflect changes made during installation or engineering activities.
  • Reviewing installation specifications to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • A High School diploma or equivalent GED is required.

  • You are proficient with computers.
  • You are open to training and coaching.
  • You can learn and adhere to customer specifications and standards.
  • You possess excellent communication skills, able to articulate clearly in various situations and listen effectively.
  • You are capable of managing your time efficiently while working on customer sites.
  • You demonstrate dependability by following instructions and responding to management direction.
  • You have experience using power tools.
  • You must be able to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
  • You should be willing and available to travel away from home for extended periods.
  • This position primarily involves working in a central office environment, which is essential for telecommunications operations.
