The Senior Project Management Specialist will be responsible for planning, leading, organizing, and inspiring technical project teams to achieve high-quality outcomes in technology-driven projects that support our Cloud Operations and Corporate IT divisions. Key responsibilities include defining project scope, collaborating with project resources to establish timelines, clarifying team roles, resolving project challenges, and monitoring the progress of large, intricate projects while adhering to established timelines, budgets, and quality standards. You will oversee the delivery of progress towards defined success metrics and evaluate those metrics post-project during our monitoring phase. Your organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills will be crucial for success in this position.

Principal Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project Management Fundamentals:
    • Create comprehensive project plans from inception and ensure weekly accuracy of project timelines.
    • Distribute weekly project status updates to communicate health and progress every Friday.
    • Coordinate, facilitate, and document weekly cross-functional team meetings.
    • Organize and lead monthly Steering Committee Meetings.
    • Conduct one-on-one meetings with project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • Drive project meetings, including setting agendas, scheduling, facilitating discussions, and distributing meeting notes and action items.
  • Report monthly or quarterly metrics to demonstrate the success of project implementations.
  • Oversee all aspects of project delivery involving cross-functional teams.
  • Leverage operational expertise to implement best practices, and define and document business processes and policies across the organization.
  • Lead collaboration efforts with other departments at JAGGAER related to the projects.
  • Proactively identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
  • Meet weekly with the PMO Manager.
  • Present monthly project progress updates to the CFO.
  • Adhere to standard PMO policies and procedures.
Position Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management, primarily within a PMO environment.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical project management.
  • Experience with AWS-related infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Experience in a SaaS organization is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of software processes and technology concepts.
  • Exceptional project management, interpersonal, organizational, communication, presentation, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and drive tasks to resolution.
  • Strong executive presence with experience in facilitation.
  • Confident, articulate, and professional with sound judgment and critical thinking abilities.
  • Innovative and forward-thinking, capable of developing and refining best practices.
  • Early adopter with the ability to influence change.
