Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in reviewing the curriculum to ensure accurate coding of academic program requirements in the degree audit system.
  • Test and maintain the degree audit system, ensuring data reliability and integrity.
  • Audit academic progress for students applying for graduation, identifying potential issues and notifying relevant parties.
  • Respond to inquiries about degree audits from faculty advisors and staff, making necessary corrections.
  • Advise professional and faculty advisors on undergraduate and graduate degree requirements, academic policies, and procedures.
  • Assist in processing approved degree requirement exceptions for course substitutions and overrides.
  • Support the Assistant Registrar-Degree Audit and Graduation with commencement processes to verify degree candidates' compliance with requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a University Registrar's Office or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Preferred experience with DegreeWorks and student information systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with basic principles of programming or computer languages.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging effectively with diverse individuals and groups.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity amidst interruptions.
  • Competence in collecting, verifying, and reporting data, with an understanding of confidentiality requirements.
  • Experience with report writing software and knowledge of customer service standards and student records principles.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of student academic records.
