About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our front office staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinic and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Schedule follow-up appointments and manage patient flow in a high-volume clinic setting.
  • Cancel or reschedule appointments as needed, notifying patients and clinic personnel accordingly.
  • Arrange for patients to receive financial counseling as required.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to clinic policies and procedures.
  • Cover for other front office functions as needed and provide support to colleagues.
  • Schedule outpatient appointments, testing, and hospital admissions as requested.
  • Communicate with patients regarding test scheduling and preparation requirements.
  • Answer incoming calls, relay messages, and respond to emergency and urgent calls in a timely manner.
  • Perform operator functions, including triaging calls and connecting patients with clinical staff.
  • Greet patients and visitors, obtain necessary forms, and update demographic and insurance information in the system.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of visit.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of office experience, preferably in a medical setting.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.

Work will involve in-person interaction with colleagues, management, and patients. Minimal travel may be required to office sites.

All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test prior to hire.
