Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Coordinator to join our team at Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule diagnostic tests in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines.
  • Obtain and enter all insurance authorization, and correspondence relating to referrals in patients' charts and/or electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Collect co-pays, deductible, and other out-of-pocket amounts at the time of visit.
  • Arrange for patients to have financial counseling as needed.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/practice.
  • Follow policies and procedures to contribute to the efficiency of the front office.
  • May communicate with patients about surgeries or tests being scheduled and potential prep work needed, inquiring about test specifics from necessary parties and gathering patient information as needed.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 3 years of office experience, medical office preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with computer systems a requirement.
  • Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) a plus.
Work Environment

The work environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, medical preparations, and other conditions common to an oncology/hematology clinic environment.
