Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, a leading provider of comprehensive cancer care, is seeking a skilled Financial Services Advisor for Patients.


Compensation Range:
$19.00-$24.00

Compensation is determined by various factors including education, experience, and certifications.

In addition to the salary, RMCC provides a range of benefits for this role, subject to eligibility criteria:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately gather and input all insurance, demographic, and eligibility data into the system.
-Conduct insurance verification for all third-party payers.

  • Secure initial and follow-up preauthorization for services and procedures. Reconfirm benefits and obtain necessary authorizations and/or referrals after treatment discussions, prior to the commencement of treatment. Ensure all required signatures are collected on necessary documentation.
  • Utilize the Patient Reimbursement and Liability Summary form to obtain necessary approvals.
  • Conduct financial counseling sessions with all patients before treatment, covering financial responsibilities, billing practices, and establishing payment plans.
  • Document the financial counseling process and forward the information to the Billing Office.
  • Schedule new patient appointments and follow-up visits in the computer system according to physician and office protocols.
Manage appointment cancellations/rescheduling based on physician availability; inform relevant clinic staff. -Collect and enter all authorizations and correspondence related to referrals in patient records and the computer system.

  • Arrange outpatient appointments and hospital admissions as requested. Obtain necessary precertifications as required. Manage new patient referrals, collect necessary information, assign patient account numbers, and schedule appointments.
  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and other out-of-pocket expenses at the time of service.
  • Handle incoming calls from patients needing to schedule or modify appointments.
Facilitate financial counseling for patients as necessary.

Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical office setting with knowledge of insurance processes is essential. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. Proficiency in computer systems is required, with familiarity in Microsoft (Outlook, Word, and Excel) being advantageous.
