Electrical Systems Engineer

We are a global leader in the automotive industry, and we're looking for a talented Electrical and Electronic Hardware Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our product development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating electrical and electronic systems for our vehicles.
Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of electrical and electronic systems, including ECUs, I/O extenders, and pedestrian alert sounder systems.
- Develop and maintain design rules, design verification methods, and packaging guidelines for electrical and electronic systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including feature owners, EMC, WCCA, reliability, power supply, NetCom, marketing, quality, TVM, purchasing, and application engineers to ensure best-in-class design and cost.
- Manage and maintain the ECUs quality documents, including P-diagrams, DFMEAs, DVP&Rs, and other relevant documentation.
- Lead the resolution of shortage issues and coordinate alternate design options in short periods of time.
- Develop plans to introduce program requests driven by shortage issues and support modular catalogs and migration plans for the modules.
- Interact with suppliers to develop software and hardware and provide technical assistance to ensure compliance with Ford's quality and reliability standards.
- Contribute to corporate and departmental Total Value Management (TVM) and quality objectives.
- Report and present status of open issues to upper management and ensure test setups are updated and in optimal conditions for evaluations.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar.
- 6+ years of experience in electronic systems, software, or features/systems.
- Master's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar (desirable).
- Knowledge of automotive industry environment, working experience preferred.
- Knowledge of materials properties and production processes.
- Technical knowledge of vehicle architectures and electronic modules and GPDS experience from PS to OKTB.
- Ability to understand critical path of electrical modules software and hardware implementation.
- Requirements engineering experience/hardware and software specifications interpretation (logic and physical schematics/device transmittals).
- Working knowledge of engineering disciplines (P-diagram, DFMEA, DVP&R, etc.).
- A comprehensive understanding of electrical subsystem design specifications.
- Deep knowledge of electrical design and electronic functionality.
- Knowledge of EOL processes. Ability to communicate and interact with others in a cross-functional team environment.
- Be aware of worldwide engineering changes and proceed accordingly.
- Excellent organization, communication, time/program management, and presentation skills.
- Experience with supplier management and negotiations.
- Attitude to learn and teamwork.
