Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team as a Densification Project Specialist. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful completion of a renovation/fit-out project at the US Embassy Antananarivo Madagascar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical inspections of electrical work and monitor contractor quality control.
  • Review project drawings and specifications for compliance.
  • Ensure contractor adherence to design documents.
  • Inspect onsite construction for proper execution and compliance with electrical codes.
  • Conduct quality assurance tasks, including inspecting work, preparing punch lists, ensuring corrective actions, and reviewing materials.
  • Monitor the construction schedule and submit weekly progress reports.
  • Ensure contractor compliance with safety programs.
  • Resolve conflicts and evaluate submittal substitutions with engineering implications.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited U.S. university.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE).
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant construction project experience (excluding design office experience).
  • Active Final Secret, Interim Top Secret, or Final Top Secret clearance from DCSA; must obtain Top Secret clearance.
  • Ability to read design/construction drawings and understand design narratives and calculations.
  • Experience with high and low voltage equipment, as well as telephone and fire alarm systems.
  • Knowledge of International Codes and electrical codes for systems furniture installations.
  • Experience with electrical inspections, high and low voltage equipment, and telephone/fire alarm systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong background in construction management, project management, and supervision.
  • Familiarity with construction safety regulations (EM 385-1-1, OSHA).
  • Must lawfully reside in the United States and eligible for employment.
