Key Position Details:
  • Full-time, overnight shift position with shifts scheduled from 8:30pm-7:00am
  • Every other weekend rotation.

Job Description:
Responsible for responding to security incidents, managing calls for assistance, and taking necessary actions to ensure safety and minimize risks. Conducts patrols, evaluates security measures, and provides support and guidance to internal stakeholders. Collaborates with law enforcement and community partners to uphold safety standards.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Responds to security emergencies.
    • Manages and oversees calls for assistance and alarms.
    • Implements actions as per established protocols to mitigate risks and ensure safety.
    • Documents incidents and prepares comprehensive reports.
  • Conducts patrols and secures properties.
    • Identifies and assesses potential threats to safeguard individuals and assets.
    • Provides escorts and monitors security systems.
    • Maintains operational readiness of security equipment.
  • Enforces regulations and policies.
    • Conducts citizen arrests as necessary.
    • Collaborates with law enforcement agencies.
    • Addresses non-compliance with safety and security policies.
  • Acts as a liaison to internal and community partners.
    • Works with internal teams to identify safety concerns.
    • Educates staff on personal safety practices.
    • Participates in safety and security committees.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age with relevant education and/or experience as outlined in the job description
  • Completion or current enrollment in an Associates or Vocational degree or equivalent post-secondary education
Preferred Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1 year of experience in security, law enforcement, military police, or a related field preferred in lieu of degree preference
Licenses/Certifications
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required American Heart Association or Allina within 60 Days
  • Valid Driver's License required upon hire
  • International Association for Hospital Safety and Security (IAHSS) preferred
  • OSHA First Responder preferred
  • Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) preferred
