Position Overview:

As a pivotal member of the product security division at SEOsatu, you will take on the role of a security architect, focusing on safeguarding the non-engineering applications, products, and integrations that facilitate the core operations of SEOsatu and its clientele. This position is crucial as it involves collaboration across various non-engineering departments, including IT, Finance, Marketing, and Human Resources, to ensure that all software developed, deployed, or integrated within SEOsatu adheres to stringent security protocols, thereby minimizing the risk of security breaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and uphold a security architecture strategy that aligns with the organization's risk management and governance frameworks.
  • Assess and recommend security technologies that enhance the protection of the company's data and application infrastructure.
  • Participate in security design and architecture evaluations for significant inter-departmental projects, ensuring adherence to contemporary security practices and standards, with a focus on access control, authentication, encryption, and secure data processing.
  • Collaborate with IT and other non-engineering business leaders to cultivate a unified security posture that balances risk with business objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive system security and vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations, and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate identified risks.
  • Remain informed about emerging threats and offer guidance to teams as necessary.
  • Work alongside legal and regulatory specialists to comprehend the implications of privacy legislation, ensuring that the architecture complies with these mandates.
  • Guide and mentor fellow team members in security best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Strong grasp of product security principles, with expertise in Threat Modeling and a foundational knowledge of exploit development.
  • Extensive knowledge of cloud security architecture, security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, security vulnerabilities, and remediation strategies.
  • Experience in securing prevalent business systems (e.g., Salesforce, Workday, Netsuite) and their related integrations (e.g., APIs or other external connections).
  • Exhibit leadership through influence by effectively collaborating with other leaders.
  • Professional security certifications are advantageous (e.g., OSCP, OSCE).
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO) and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and the capacity to perform under pressure.
  • Typically requires 15+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 12+ years in the security field.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
