Interventional Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Radiologic Technologist to join our team in Interventional Radiology. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preparing patients for and assisting with interventional procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities- Verify physician orders and procedures to ensure accuracy
- Utilize radiology information systems to facilitate patient care
- Explain procedures to patients to ensure understanding
- Operate imaging equipment to complete procedures according to protocol
- Review patient images to ensure diagnostic quality standards are met
- Perform quality control procedures and notify/remediate as necessary
- Assist with departmental operations, including inventory, staff schedules, and equipment maintenance
- Completion of a Radiologic Technology program in an AMA-approved school
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Licensed by the Louisiana State Radiology Technology Board of Examiners (LSRTBE)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology
- Advanced certification in Vascular Interventional Radiography
This role requires the ability to exert 20-50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The incumbent works in a patient care area, works in an area where patients enter, works directly with patients, and/or works with specimens that could contain communicable diseases.
