We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director - Private Client to join our team at FORVIS. As a trusted advisor, you will serve as a member of various client service teams and possess knowledge of taxation compliance and consulting related to personal, partnership, trust, estate, gift, and wealth retention strategies.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax compliance and tax advisory services to individuals, closely held flow-through entities, trusts, and estates with an emphasis on sophisticated tax matters.
- Develop, build, and manage client relationships, helping to identify and address their complex tax needs.
- Manage, develop, and coach professional tax staff, ensuring they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver exceptional service.
- Review returns prepared by tax associates and seniors, providing guidance and feedback to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Effectively delegate responsibilities to others and monitor the efforts of engagement teams, promoting growth and development.
- Utilize technology tools to improve work processes and stay up-to-date with the latest tax laws and regulations.
- Research complex tax issues, apply findings to projects, and clearly communicate those findings in writing.
- 9 years or more of related experience in public accounting, law firm, or trust department.
- Bachelor's or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA license.
- Experience managing staff and multiple client engagements.
As a Tax Director - Private Client at FORVIS, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of professionals, delivering exceptional service to our clients. We offer a competitive salary range, with a minimum of $153,500 and a maximum of $300,000 in the New York market. Our total compensation package includes group health plan benefits, 401(K), profit-sharing contributions, flexible time off, and parental leave.
