School Health Care Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a school setting. In this position, you will provide acute care to students and staff, including developing care plans, administering medication, and collaborating with school personnel and parents.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement care plans for students with ongoing conditions
- Consult with teachers, school administrators, and other staff regarding student care
- Administer medication as required by doctor's orders
- Collaborate with school personnel and parents to ensure student health and well-being
- Provide emergency treatment as needed to staff and students
- Monitor student immunization records
- Educate students and staff on health procedures
- Perform hearing, vision, and other health screenings
- State of Connecticut Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Previous school nursing or substitute nursing experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Knowledge of school laws and policies
- BLS/CPR and First Aid certifications
- Knowledge of state health regulations
