Position Summary

The Logistics Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in managing warehouse activities, ensuring optimal workflow, and maintaining high standards of safety and efficiency. This position serves as a key point of contact between the workforce and upper management, facilitating effective communication and addressing any operational concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops and implements work schedules for team members to enhance productivity.
  • Conducts regular inspections of all operational equipment to identify any deficiencies and coordinates with management for prompt resolution.
  • Responsible for ordering new supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring quality and quantity upon receipt.
  • Acts as a mediator to resolve conflicts among staff, ensuring fair treatment and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Oversees the inspection of outgoing inventory to guarantee quality and accuracy in documentation.
  • Manages stock inventory processes to ensure alignment with inventory levels and prevent discrepancies.
  • Ensures proper storage practices are followed, allocating space effectively for all items.
  • Maintains accurate labeling and organization of goods within the warehouse.
  • Plans and optimizes warehouse layouts for maximum operational efficiency.
  • Identifies and rectifies any issues related to product quality or identification.
  • Ensures the warehouse is organized and accessible, maintaining a safe working environment.
Qualifications

Requirements:
  • Successful completion of background checks and pre-employment assessments.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Consistent in-person attendance is expected.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or
  • High School diploma with 7-10 years of relevant warehouse management experience.

Work Environment

The work environment may vary, including both office and warehouse settings. Employees may encounter fluctuating temperatures and noise levels. Adaptability to changing conditions and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential for success in this role. Physical demands may include prolonged periods of standing, lifting up to 49 lbs, and performing various physical tasks.
