Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Principal Cybersecurity Test Engineer - P4 to join our Cybersecurity Engineering division. This role involves contributing to a high-stakes program that focuses on developing methodologies, planning assessments, creating test scripts, drafting procedures and reports, and executing tests with a comprehensive understanding of intricate subsystems. The ideal candidate will leverage extensive engineering knowledge and apply principles of related technologies to ensure the integrity and validity of tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement test protocols to validate cybersecurity and information assurance standards for a sophisticated software-based control system.
  • Identify, document, and troubleshoot cybersecurity-related challenges.
  • Generate Analysis and Inspection Reports (AIRs) to confirm compliance with cybersecurity and information assurance criteria.
  • Assist in reporting and data analysis related to formal testing activities.
  • Travel as necessary to support program objectives, with anticipated travel not exceeding 50%.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
  • A valid U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance is mandatory prior to commencement.
  • Proven experience in Integration/Test related to cybersecurity on government contracts, including the preparation and execution of test procedures for satellite ground systems.
  • Proficiency in Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and resolve issues related to cybersecurity and information assurance policies.
  • Familiarity with U.S. Department of Defense programs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a Satellite Ground System development or operational environment.
  • Knowledge of ground station satellite domains, including command and telemetry, flight dynamics, or mission planning.
  • Understanding of System Engineering practices concerning Testing, Verification, and Validation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
