Cybersecurity Specialist

SAIC is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough security evaluations, including compliance audits using STIG Viewer and SCAP, and active evaluations, such as vulnerability assessments utilizing tools like ACAS.
  • Perform assessments of RMF artifacts and identify deviations from RMF control requirements.
  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.
  • Validate established cybersecurity controls and requirements, and recommend appropriate cybersecurity safeguards.
  • Establish strict program control processes to ensure mitigation of risks and support obtaining assessment and authorization of systems.
  • Support DoD/Federal cybersecurity policy, including security engineering and STIG/SCAP compliance scanning and implementation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and five plus years' related experience, or four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • CompTIA Security+ or similar for IAT Level II DoD 8570 certification.
  • Experience with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Nessus/Tenable Security Center.
  • Experience with LogRhythm.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience sustaining PARCS, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PAVE PAWS and UEWR.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.

SAIC offers a competitive salary range of $80,001 - $120,000, based on experience and other factors. The company accepts applications on an ongoing basis and does not have a deadline. SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters, but customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
