Patient Service Representative, Pellissippi Prim Car

Job Summary:
As a Patient Service Representative, you will play a vital role in providing administrative support to our medical office. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless patient check-in and check-out processes, while maintaining accurate records and managing outstanding balances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and process encounter form data
- Collect and total outstanding balances and payments
- Balance work and computer at end of day
- Answer multi-line phone and route calls accordingly
- Receive and record changes in patient information
- Demonstrate familiarity with insurance procedures and knowledge of participating plans
- Responsible for scheduling appointments and end-of-day procedures
- Compile data for billing personnel
- Develop effective communication skills
- Attend meetings and participate in committees as required
- Collaborate with patients, physicians, and care team members
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards
Requirements:
Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum Experience: One year of experience in a medical office setting or three years of customer-facing experience
Licensure: None required
