Key Responsibilities
  • Project Administration: Manage preconstruction services, including reviewing owner expectations and criteria, and overseeing the entire preconstruction process.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate owner contracts, coordinate with design teams, and establish programs to comply with minority business enterprise (MBE) requirements.
  • Subcontractor Management: Identify key subcontractors, promote partnering sessions, and investigate sites to identify long-lead items.
  • Financial Management: Develop and maintain project financials, including GMP or lump sum contracts, and maintain continuous knowledge of jobsite expenditures.
  • Change Order Management: Manage the change order process, assist in loss-control management, and administer owner purchase programs.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit and manage jobsite staff, enforce company policies, and provide professional development opportunities.
  • Document Control: Administer document control, RFI processes, and prepare monthly reports.
  • Safety and Quality: Implement and manage safety and quality programs, including daily clean-up and rental equipment management.
  • Client Relations: Promote client relations, interact regularly with owners, and participate in client-promoted activities.
  • Project Closeout: Manage project closeout and post-construction services, including obtaining warranties and transfer of attic stock.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience as a Project Manager within the solar/EPC construction industry.
  • Skills: Strong computer skills, including familiarity with construction project management applications, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership skills, including coaching, mentoring, and building and maintaining motivated teams.
  • Project Management Finance: Highly developed project management finance skills.
