HCA Healthcare is seeking a skilled Transition Nursery Registered Nurse to join our team at St. David's North Austin Medical Center. As a member of our nursing team, you'll have the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to newborns and their families.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating and providing direct patient care, including attending deliveries, assessing and assisting in safe extrauterine life adjustments of the newborn, monitoring stability, and identifying any anomalies or signs of distress.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to newborns, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Collaborate with the medical team to develop care plans that promote, facilitate, and maintain newborn wellness
- Utilize advanced assessment skills to identify potential issues and provide interventions to prevent complications
