Director of Operations Job Description

Leap Brands is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead the operations of multiple locations. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong background in multi-unit operation management within the restaurant industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Sales and Customer Loyalty: Develop and implement strategies to increase sales, enhance customer loyalty, and reduce operating costs.
  • Performance Management: Utilize performance management tools, including development plans, to provide guidance and feedback to team members.
  • Leadership Development: Interview, hire, develop, and manage all-star unit-level management staff.
  • Work Environment and Morale: Build a strong work environment and foster high morale among team members.
  • Full P&L Responsibilities: Oversee all financial aspects of multiple locations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • General Manager Development: Provide coaching, guidance, and support to General Managers to ensure their success and development.
  • Succession Planning: Develop a leadership bench at the restaurant level, including Assistant General Managers and hourly managers, to create opportunities for growth and succession.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster open communication and collaboration between Front of House and Back of House teams at both the store and executive levels.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Preferred, but not required.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in multi-unit management in a full-service chain organization, with 10+ years of P&L experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to communicate, influence, and negotiate decisions while motivating assigned staff.
  • Project Management: Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Teamwork: Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Management Experience: Prior management experience, with knowledge of Back of House Systems, Point of Sale Systems, Restaurant Operating Systems, and the Internet.
  • Budgeting and Performance Review: Advanced understanding of budgetary concepts and procedures, as well as performance review processes.
