POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Culinary Specialist II, you will be responsible for setting up and dismantling your work area. You will operate various cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to prepare a diverse range of dishes. Your role includes preparing cold foods, monitoring food quality during preparation, and testing dishes to ensure they are cooked to perfection. You will also wash and peel fresh produce, prepare ingredients for cooking by portioning, chopping, and storing them appropriately.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare special meals or substitute items as needed.
2. Serve food in proper portions onto appropriate receptacles.
3. Maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment.

HEALTH AND SAFETY COMPLIANCE
Adhere to all company policies regarding safety and security. Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management. Complete all necessary safety training and certifications.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS
Ensure that your uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs.

COLLABORATIVE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, supporting the team to achieve common goals. Communicate effectively using clear and professional language. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a related culinary role.
Supervisory Experience: Not required.
Certification: None required.
