Qualifications

To excel in this position, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in essential duties. The qualifications outlined below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree and Infant Mental Health Certification within two years of employment.
  • Strong organizational and record-keeping capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows and other computer applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and professionals.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Completion of required Home Visiting training programs.
Key Responsibilities

The Home Visiting Service Provider will adhere to local, state, and federal regulations while following all MECA policies. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying families who may benefit from home visiting services.
  2. Assessing eligibility based on standardized criteria.
  3. Creating transition plans in collaboration with families.
  4. Setting positive outcomes and goals through assessments and selected curricula aimed at strengthening caregiver-child relationships.
  5. Conducting scheduled visits tailored to the family's needs.
  6. Promoting safe and nurturing environments for young children.
  7. Implementing strategies to enhance wellbeing and prevent adverse experiences.
  8. Providing services that support parental competence and foster healthy child development.
  9. Building supportive relationships and establishing wellness goals across various domains.
  10. Delivering prenatal, post-partum, and ongoing home visits.
  11. Establishing measurable outcomes for families.
  12. Offering parenting education to support developmental guidance and school readiness.
  13. Conducting health, safety, and developmental screenings.
  14. Connecting families with community resources.
  15. Receiving reflective supervision to ensure cultural sensitivity.
  16. Maintaining accurate documentation in the data management system.
  17. Conducting annual family satisfaction surveys.
  18. Involving families in setting treatment goals and training.
  19. Promoting the Home Visiting program within the community.
  20. Participating in team meetings for children receiving early intervention services.
Caseload Management

The Home Visiting Service Provider will manage a caseload assigned by the regional director, providing services to 15-28 families based on their needs.

Productivity Expectations

The Home Visiting Service Provider is expected to meet a 100% productivity goal, ensuring each family is visited at least once a month for a minimum of 90 minutes.

Documentation Standards

Accurate data collection and timely documentation are critical. Responsibilities include:

  1. Documenting therapy sessions and progress immediately after visits.
  2. Entering data into the database within 24 hours.
  3. Maintaining organized files in compliance with privacy regulations.
Professional Development

The Home Visiting Service Provider will support staff development through:

  1. Conducting in-house training sessions.
  2. Obtaining Infant Mental Health Certification within two years.
  3. Participating in mandatory meetings and trainings.
  4. Completing a professional development self-assessment.
Supervision and Quality Assurance

Reflective supervision is required at least twice a month, with ongoing quality assurance measures to ensure ethical practices and compliance with policies.
