Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Oncology Nurse Navigator to join our team at The University of Chicago Medicine.

This is a full-time position working day shift, Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.

About the Role:

  • Coordinate care for stem cell transplant and cellular therapy patients, ensuring timely delivery and eliminating potential barriers.
  • Serve as clinical liaison and single point of contact for patients, coordinating care from initial diagnosis to post-transplant follow-up.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including physicians, advanced practice providers, and social workers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participate in process improvement projects to enhance transplant operations and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

About You:

  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited academic body and be a licensed Registered Nurse with a valid, unrestricted Illinois State license.
  • Minimum two years of clinical experience working as an RN in Hematology or Oncology Specialty.
  • Demonstrated clinical competence in patient care, teaching, and management of patients with a cancer diagnosis.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with patients, family members, and physicians.

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary of $125,000 per year, plus excellent benefits package including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
