Counselor for Social Wellbeing and Community Support

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge and a strong skill set around crisis counseling/response and management, with a proven ability to serve as a resource to support faculty and staff in matters related to students.
Responsibilities include:
- Counseling students in the areas of mental health and psychosocial matters, short-term therapy, risk assessment, crisis counseling/response, small group counseling, and wellness programs.
- Providing support and guidance to faculty and staff in matters related to students.
Requirements:
- A minimum of a Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related area as a Qualified Health Professional.
- Two years of experience in an educational institution, public agency or industry in the area of counseling is required; three years of comparable experience is preferred.
- Must hold a professional license in a related mental health field and be eligible to work in the State of New York.
The estimated annual salary for this position starts at $67,820, depending on experience.
