Job Type: Full-time
Location: Binghamton, NY
About the Role:
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at ACHIEVE. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities to live independently and participate in their communities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide training and assistance to individuals to develop and/or improve independent living skills such as cooking, housekeeping, and laundry.
- Assist individuals with personal care skills, including showering, tooth brushing, toileting, and bathing.
- Administer medications and documentation according to OPWDD and Agency procedure.
- Accompany individuals to grocery stores and other stores for on-site training in purchasing.
- Transport individuals to appointments, recreational activities, and other events as needed.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and good driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
- High School Graduate or GED.
