Job Summary

Elmcrest Children's Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing services to children and their families in community-based settings. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in creating a safe and secure environment for individuals with mental health needs

Transport and accompany individuals to places within the community, or provide telehealth services as COVID regulations allow

Contribute ideas for improving the experiences of individuals in the program, including planning appropriate activities

Be flexible around the needs of the child and/or family

Complete daily documentation of services provided

Work collaboratively with family members and other professionals involved in the individual's care

Maintain compliance with all required training

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience, or a Master's degree

Flexibility in scheduling, including evening and/or weekend hours

Valid, unrestricted driver's license with reliable transportation

Excellent communication skills, including oral, listening, written, and inter-personal skills

Effective problem-solving skills

Self-confidence and an ability to work with children and young adults with a variety of needs

Exceptional customer service and collaboration skills

Computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Outlook

Compliance with required background checks, including fingerprinting and drug testing

Successful completion of all mandatory training

Compensation

This position offers a unique compensation package, with bi-weekly performance-based bonuses available to those who qualify. Bonuses can earn up to $36/hour, making this an attractive opportunity for those looking to make a difference in the lives of others.
