Maintenance Director Job Summary

Aspire Nursing and Rehab of Lake Park is seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintenance and repair, with experience in managing a team and ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain the facility's physical plant, including plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Inventory and order maintenance supplies, ensuring that all necessary materials are on hand
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, carpet repairs, and cleaning
  • Respond promptly to all repair requests, ensuring that issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with the Nursing Home Administrator to allocate resources and prioritize tasks
  • Develop and implement a preventative maintenance program to ensure the facility remains in good repair
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations
  • Participate in training programs and in-services to stay up-to-date on industry best practices
  • Supervise and train staff on maintenance procedures and safety protocols
Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year of general maintenance experience
  • Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
