Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Director to join our team at Bennigan's Grill & Tavern. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the food and beverage operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate food and beverage costs, requisition supplies, and manage inventory to maintain profitability.
  • Develop and implement menus, banquets, buffets, and salad bars, ensuring alignment with departmental profit goals.
  • Maintain and train employees on proper cash handling policies, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Prepare schedules fairly and within budgeted guidelines, ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Inspect food and food preparation to maintain quality standards and sanitation regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve food quality and service complaints to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Communicate maintenance and housekeeping needs to the appropriate supervisors.
  • Supervise food, liquor, and beer inventory procedures, ensuring timely and accurate ordering.
  • Review financial transactions and monitor budget to ensure efficient operation and stay within budget limitations.
  • Develop training programs with supervisors and hold training sessions to ensure all employees are trained on KHC/franchise policies.
  • Participate in the creation of effective marketing programs for the Food & Beverage department, utilizing information from the competition, local markets, and property's market position.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four-year college or university, or one to four years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports, safety policies, and procedures.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
Working Conditions

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles, temperature extremes, and a mild risk of electrical shock. The noise level is usually moderate.
