Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ride Maintenance Director to join our team at Knott's Berry Farm. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our park rides and attractions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily maintenance of park rides and attractions, including mechanical and electrical maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and standards of quality and safety.
  • Supervise and review the work of subordinate maintenance management staff.
  • Perform related administration duties, including budgeting and purchasing.
  • Communicate with ride manufacturers and other stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure the safest possible operation and maintenance of rides.
  • Interface with various governmental agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Ensure employee safety by working within and enforcing all OSHA requirements and other applicable safety laws.
  • Determine priorities for scheduling of preventive maintenance and yearly overhauls.
  • Research, bid, and oversee ordering of materials and/or services involved in maintenance and construction projects.
  • Coordinates maintenance projects with other Park departments, contractors, and ride manufacturers as necessary.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree, with a focus in Maintenance/Tech./Engineering preferred.
  • NAARSO LEVEL II RIDE INSPECTOR and AIMS LEVEL II RIDE INSPECTOR certifications preferred.
  • At least 10+ years of work-related experience preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of prior supervisory/leadership experience required.
