JOB DESCRIPTION

Clean Harbors is seeking multiple Laboratory Chemists I-IV who will be responsible for analyzing samples to ascertain their chemical and physical characteristics utilizing chromatography and spectroscopy methodologies. We are looking for individuals who prioritize safety in their work environment. Competitive wage range of $24.50 to $40 per hour, with weekly pay and overtime opportunities based on experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Foster a positive and secure work environment by adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
  • Conduct analysis of facility samples utilizing GC, GCMS, ICP, and various other analytical laboratory instruments.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment as necessary.
  • Manage waste generated from analytical processes in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure a safe working environment that meets all applicable OSHA standards.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry is required.
  • Focus on Environmental Chemistry, excluding Pharma and BioMed.
  • Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and quantitative skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications.
  • Ability to document, record, and analyze data effectively.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
