- Conduct sampling of incoming drums and perform fundamental analyses according to established protocols
- Calibrate and operate laboratory instruments necessary for basic analyses
- Complete all documentation related to waste analysis and drum sampling, ensuring compliance with QA/QC standards
- Manage waste generated from testing procedures effectively
- Ensure proper coding and labeling of all drums
- Maintain knowledge of the Company's Waste Information Network (WIN) system for drum handling and billing
- Utilize a forklift for the movement of drums within the warehouse
- Develop, modify, and review Standard Operating Procedures and Job Hazard Analyses relevant to the operational area
- Conduct regular audits of Standard Operating Procedures
- Facilitate hands-on training sessions, including practical training for new hires and operation of monitoring equipment
- Keep accurate training records
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in Windows-based computer applications
- Preferred prior experience in a Receiving Chemist role
- Completion of college-level Chemistry coursework
- Associate's Degree or vocational training preferred
- Experience operating electric forklifts, propane forklifts, and scissor lifts is advantageous
- Strong commitment to Health & Safety practices
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Valid U.S. Driver's License required
- Updated resume required for consideration
