Environmental Scientist

Clean Harbors is seeking a skilled Laboratory Chemist to join our team in Kimball, NE. As a Laboratory Chemist, you will be responsible for analyzing samples to determine their chemical and physical properties using chromatography and spectroscopy techniques.

• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by complying with all safety practices, policies, and processes.
• Perform analysis of facility samples using GC, GCMS, ICP, and various analytical laboratory instruments.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
• Properly manage waste generated as a result of analytical procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all applicable OSHA regulations.
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by management.

• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry - required.
• Environmental focus, no pharmaceutical or biomedical experience.
• Prior experience in a laboratory setting.
• Excellent communication, organization, and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Ability to document, record, and analyze data and information.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends when necessary.
• Valid US driver's license - required.
• Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.
