Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Receiving Chemist I to join our team at Clean Harbors in Kimball, NE. As a key member of our environmental operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and processing of hazardous materials.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to hazardous materials handling and storage.
- Operate a forklift to transfer drums throughout the warehouse, ensuring safe and efficient movement of materials.
- Perform basic analysis of samples using prescribed procedures, including calibration and utilization of instrumentation.
- Complete all required paperwork associated with waste analysis and drum sampling, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Properly manage waste generated from testing procedures, adhering to company protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Assure that all drums are properly coded and assigned a proper label or profile, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Responsible for knowledge of the Company's Waste Information Network (WIN) system applicable to receiving, routing, and billing of drums.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree or vocational/trade school preferred.
- Completion of college-level Chemistry class required.
- Proficient with Windows-based computer applications.
- Previous experience operating a forklift or similar equipment preferred.
- Excellent commitment to Health & Safety, with ability to work in a team environment.
- Valid US DL required.
